Beverage filling applications

Background & Challenge
Automated beverage and mineral water filling lines significantly increase the packaging speed of products. More and more companies are incorporating more stable, mature, and reliable filling equipment into their packaging processes.

Solution
A well-known beverage production company has installed automatic filling equipment on their production line, utilizing atmospheric pressure to achieve automated filling of drinking water. The system includes both switch control and analog variable frequency speed control. The equipment can operate continuously in automatic mode or manually in jog mode. Digital input signals from cylinder motion sensors, liquid level sensors, and photoelectric switches are transmitted to the PLC through the ODOT CT-121F module. After computation, the signals are output through the CT-222F module to control the filling solenoid valve and the cylinder motion solenoid valve, enabling basic filling operations. The filling line's variable frequency speed control system uses the ODOT CT-3238/CT-4154 modules for analog input and output. The data transmitted to the PLC undergoes setpoint comparison and PID calculation, outputting analog signals to the variable frequency drive, thereby achieving variable frequency speed control functionality.
