Background & Challenge
Warehousing is an essential component of modern logistics, playing a crucial role in the logistics system and being a focal point of research and planning for manufacturers. Efficient and rational warehousing helps manufacturers accelerate the flow of goods, reduce costs, ensure smooth production operations, and effectively control resources.
Solution
The control system consists of a Siemens S7-300 PLC as the core, equipped with a ODOT CN-8012 Profibus-DP protocol network adapter. Attached some ODOT IO modules, which collect various limit switch action signals through digital input modules. These modules control switch command signals, contactor actions, and relay operation signals. Additionally, various position and pressure signals are gathered through analog input modules and transmitted via the fieldbus to the PLC's internal programs for processing. Corresponding output modules then control systems such as the rail conveyor electrical system, belt conveyor control system, robotic arm control system, pneumatic control system, automatic lifting system, and automatic sorting system.
