Photovoltaic panel packaging production line to improve efficiency

Background & Challenge
In the past, photovoltaic module production was a labor-intensive industry. With the widespread use of fully automated solar module packaging lines, manual operation errors have been avoided, significantly improving efficiency.

Solution
A company's photovoltaic module packaging production line uses a Siemens S7-1200 PLC as the main controller, with ODOT C series remote I/O modules as distributed slaves. Communication is achieved through the PROFINET architecture. The system's features include numerous and dispersed stations, with a single production line capable of linking around 20 stations. It controls various functional units to complete feeding, operation, transmission, and unloading, thus realizing the full process control of photovoltaic modules.
