ODOT CN-8032-L applied in the energy storage industry

The CN-8032-L Profinet network adapter supports standard Profinet IO Device Communication. Under the trend of carbon neutrality and carbon peaking, energy storage is an inevitable choice for increasing the installed capacity of wind and solar. However, the development of new technologies cannot be ignored, among which chemical energy storage is thriving.

The energy storage battery PACK process refers to combining multiple single cells to form a complete energy storage battery pack. Normally, the energy storage battery PACK process is completed on an automated production line, which includes steps such as cell testing, sorting, grouping, and assembly. Each step requires strict control and management to ensure the performance and quality of the energy storage battery PACK.

In order to improve the operating efficiency and product yield of the production line, the degree of automation of the production line is getting higher and higher. Due to the relatively long production line, the energy storage battery PACK production line needs to use a large number of remote I/Os, which are distributed in each production line. Finally, the remote I/O is controlled by the main controller to realize precise control of the entire PACK production line from loading to unloading.

The feeding and sorting of batteries are applied to a large number of conveyor belts, cylinders and manipulators, which require the use of a large number of digital input signals to detect and control the positioning and status of materials. The on-site operating environment includes a large number of frequency converters and mechanical arms and this will generate high-frequency signal interference, and it has certain requirements on the anti-interference ability of the module. Therefore, the customer uses the ODOT CN-8032-L Profinet adapter with the CT-121F (16DI) and CT-222F(16DO) to achieve precise positioning of the battery materials.

During the sorting process, it is necessary to use a code scanner to scan and record information. Traditional solutions often require the use of protocol gateways to collect data separately. However, customers who use ODOT C series modules can carry external CT-5321 the serial modules to realize the free port communication of the code scanner, no need to add an additional protocol gateway, which simplifies the structure of the cabinet, and it is more convenient for debugging and maintenance.
